For the last two days we have had some serious WIND, rain, cloudy skies... Oh and what's that on the trees-- Snow!! People who have hiked the PCT in various years said that these were the coldest days the have ever had on the trail....EVER!! Don't be fooled by the glimpse of blue sky, it was freezing.


- But after two shivering nights the nurturing Sun made it's come back (we may hate the sun very soon)

The Southern Terminus, April 27. I can't believe we're finally doing it. I have thought about this very moment for the past 2 years and at least 5 times a day in the last 2 months. So many thoughts were going through my mind; excitement, worry, challenged, anxiety, anticipation, etc. We are so thankful for everyone who was suppotive and has given us lots of encouragement to make this possible!!

Final Preparations, one week to go!!!

My beloved dehydrator has been running pretty much non-stop for the last couple months. We will have apples, bananas, carrots, peppers, broccoli, just to name a few!



Mmmm granola.... Whipping up a batch of Tims granola at the Albion Grill. I LOVE this stuff!!









Packing my boxes of food. This is possibly the hardest part of all the planning. Trying to pack enough light weight but hearty food into little boxes that I will have mailed to me over the next 5 months!
