Trail Delight

Journaling by the fire. You might think that because we camp every night that we're having fires, but it's not so. This was only our 3rd fire so far. It's so delightful when we actually get to have one. Usually we are too tired, don't have enough time, or it's just not a good place to have fire.

When it's 7:00 at night and there is absolutly no where to camp, the delight of seeing this bridge was relieving. How many times do you get to sleep on a bridge in a lifetime and have it be the best option around?

Soaking in the Deep Creek hot springs!! These were so relaxing! Although I did get a hot spring hangover later and felt a bit dehydrated and tired, still worth it though.

Dagney fording a river. That bridge would have been delightful right here. But it was nice to get our feet wet.

After a 22 mile day with 5000 feet of elevation gain, it is soo delightful to get into camp. We basically set up shelters, cook dinner and go to bed. 8:00 bed time is standard out here, party animals.
